Byram Recreation Master Plan
In 2019, the Small Town Center (STC) at Mississippi State University designed an interactive app which allowed community members to map existing and desired routes to parks and open space via bicycling and walking.
The STC incorporated this real-time and individualized data into the planning process to create an effective master plan that highlights future pedestrian and cycling routes, opportunities for parks, and connectivity of goods and services. The STC also provided an implementation plan for the city to actualize.
This project was recognized by the Mississippi Chapter of the American Planning Association with the 2019 Public Outreach Award.
